Being perfect
I’m sure you’ve heard the saying “ Practice makes perfect” do you believe that?
Perfect: To make something completely free from faults or defects.
How can an unperfected person make something perfect? Think about it
Is there something that you aspire to make perfect? If yes, have you done so yet?
I’ve also heard that cliche term and thought that there was somethings that I could perfect.
Honestly, the only thing that I could perfect was an equation something that had a formula and even still I would mess up several times before solving it because though the formula might be perfect, I’M NOT AND NEVER WILL BE!
There’s no formula to being a perfect human, and even if there was, we wouldn’t be able to do so, because we weren’t made to be perfect.
Before God made us, he knew everything that he was doing, he made us to serve him. That is our main purpose in life and he also blesses us with talents to serve him in different ways. Whether, you’re a musician, singer, Usher, Pastor, photographer etc. we are made to use our talents to serve him.
Back to perfection, if God was to make us perfect we wouldn’t feel like we needed him.
There wouldn’t be any mercy, grace, forgiveness, why? because there would be no use for it.
Why do you think God makes himself so accessible? Because without him we’re nothing and he expects us to fail!
If anyone claims to be perfect… they don’t have a relationship with God or themselves.
And perfection is not what you see on the outside, we see a lot of people that society glorifies and put on a pedestal. AND A lot of us aspire to be like them, want the lifestyle and everything that comes with that. And we’ve seeN many of them take their own lives, and wonder why? they seem to have everything that you would want, their lives just looked the best ever, no complaints… no worries! Exactly, they thought that they we’re enough for themselves. Thinking, I created this liFe for me now that I’m “successful” why would I need God? they thought they were enough for themselves and that’s really sad. And what’s even sadder is the fact that they have so much influence on people, especially the youth. They crave what these celebrities have and probably do anything to get it.
I say all of this to say there’s nothing wrong with wanting to perfect something, Question is? what it is that you’re trying to perfect?
God loves us and his intention is never to make us unhappy, we attract that spirit on ourselves somehow.
NO ONE IS PERFECT, AND NO ONE WILL EVER BE but we can try to perfect things, whether it’s your craft, hobbies, talents etc. but never forget that we were made to worship him so make sure that your craft or whatever you’re aspiring to perfect is pleasing to him because trying to make something perfect takes a lot of time and effort and I’d hate for you to be wasting your time when you could be investing it in your purpose.
So before you leave, THINK ABOUT IT! What do I want to perfect? And if your answer ISN'T pleasing to God, go talk to him, pray about it, he makes himself assessable because he knows we’ll need him always.
LET’S ALL TRY TO BE PERFECT CHRISTIAN BUT NOT FORGETTING THAT WE’RE HUMAN AND WILL MAKE MISTAKES… BUT THAT’S WHY HE’S HERE FOR US ALWAYS!
So while we have access to him, let’s use it. He loves when we come to him! Let’s forget PERFECTION let’s try to be ENOUGH and available for him… UNTIL NEXT TIME, KNOW YOUR WORTH CAUSE WHEN YOU KNOW YOUR WORTH… YOU CAN SET YOUR STANDARDS….YOU’RE PRICELESS!
